Glen Ellison - Current Commodore |
My thanks to all who attended the last meeting at the Smiths’. Becky and Steve deserve special acclaim for hospitality, providing their elegant home for the club to use. This is the second year in a row we’ve had our fall meeting there. Elections were held confirming our new officers for the upcoming New Year, 2004. Voting was also held on a number of topics ranging from racing issues to web sites. The club paid for the vittles & fixings, and the Smiths provided the evenings entertainment by magically making the moon disappear right in front of our eyes. |
So let me end by welcoming Jack Creed to the helm. I also congratulate the other incoming officers and committee chairs for their active participation. |
Farewell for now, keep your eyes forward to the bow and coast upon new waters wherever it may lead. |
With the wind I begin to breathe |
Far away where burdens melt |
On a lake of silent reasons |
You know just the way it felt |
Well you almost taste your purpose |
As you hold that weathered sheet |
Feel the way her sails are drawing |
With the wind we shall retreat |

I wish to extend a special thanks to the officers and committees of the 2003 season for a job well done. I would also like to thank the new "volunteers" for the upcoming 2004 summer of fun. Without all of your support there would be no CRCA, and without the CRCA just think of all those friendships and rivalries that would not exist. |
So thanks for keeping us going. |
