(Editor’s Note: Our Commodore is visiting lesser latitudes, presumably warming in the sun and actually taking casual walks outdoors. Things those of us here in the vicinity of latitude 42° could do only at extreme personal peril.
I’m sure she would want us all to be stout of heart and have faith that the weather will, once again warm, that our beloved boats will, once again float (the lake is currently hard) and that we will all have a great sailing season.
She would also encourage us all to attend the Commodore’s ball on March 25. Probably so she can gloat about how warm it was in Florida. So make sure you’ve sent in your acknowledgement and check to Barb Kurkowski. The Ball is a great opportunity to get in the spring spirit.
Finally she would point out that Gayle Locke is looking for some cruise leader, see page 3 for information. Cruise leading is easy and fun and guarantees your 2007 cruising flag.)
