Cruising Column
Gayle & Eric Locke - Cruise Committee
Hi Everyone!
A stroll through the dockyards the past several weekends reveals boat owners hard at work.  Scrubbing, waxing, sanding and painting all in anticipation of the coming boating season.  Eric and I are right in there with them.  We will be a bit more adventurous this year.  Our plan is to go cruising in Lake Superior for 10 weeks, so the boat will have to be in tip-top shape prior to our leaving in mid-June.  This is very exciting for us but at the same time bittersweet.  It means that we will miss almost the entire cruising season with our friends of the CRCA L.
Cruise leaders were a bit hard to come by this year.  However, I think we can go ahead with a full list of destinations with only minor adjustments to the cruises without leaders.  Just remember to kick back, relax, and have fun with your fellow sailors.  And don’t forget about Eric and I, while you’re chilling out on the docks you can speculate on just how cold the waters of Lake Superior are!
Keep on sailing.
