Jack Creed - Commodore Elect |
Hello, Clinton River Catalina Association fleet members. |
Im Jack Creed your new Commodore. In my absence, while vacationing in Florida, I was elected Commodore to this wonderful, fun loving, sailing club. Janet and I were on holiday in Ft. Myers enjoying sun and warm temperatures while spending time with our former Michigander friends, Chris and Ken Mette. The Mettes were a big part in making the club fun, which they miss. I gave them picture CDs of the last years events and after seeing them and sharing them with former members Cliff and Sally Trent, they all longed for the good old days with the CRCA. I hope that I can carry on the tradition of making the club fun. |

Coming back from the sunshine state was a shock, didnt see the sun for at least a week and it was fog or rain for a few days, as well. We got some bad news from friends that Flying Duchess winter cover did not fair too well in the storm force winds while we were gone, so out to the boat yard we went to fix the cover in the rain. Welcome back to Michigan! |
Writing of weather, NOAA has a new radio tower for southern Lake Huron. It will be channel 5 and will provide service from Bad Axe to St. Clair County, a nice addition to the public service |
I ran for office and didnt have to make any campaign promises, which is a luxury and an oddity. I made a very short list of projects I would like to do while in office, get liability insurance for the Club, support a web master and web site and listen to new ideas to continue to make the Club fun. |
