Our summer is moving right along. The weather is finally starting to co-operate. Phil and I have enjoyed some pleasurable sailing recently as well as the Splash-Bash fireworks and dock party down at the Nautical Mile. Tonight will be the Nautical Mile Car Cruise which is always enjoyable.
We hope all who attended the Windsor cruise enjoyed themselves. Thank you to Ted and Gae for providing guidance on that cruise. It was a very relaxing and fun time to reacquaint ourselves with each other after a long winter. We had some 1st cruisers along for the trip. John and Laura from WINDependence  and Larry and Tricia from Amazing Grace came to partake of our first cruise of the season. I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as the rest of us.
The next cruise, at Radlin's (now Smuggler’s Marina) on the Thames River was led by Doug and Jean Post. Again a great time was followed by a bumpy ride home. The next cruise is to Belle River on July 14, followed by Metro Beach July 28, Cove Marina Aug. 4, CRCA raftoff (date to be determined, watch you e-mail for more information), then Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 1 and Sun. Sept. 2nd and last but certainly not least, the always eclectic “Pumpkin Cruise.”  If you haven't yet signed up, you may still do so by directly calling the Marina's.  However, we still have a few openings for Metro, as we paid for those in advance.  You can call me at 586-786-1673 or Linda Reed at 248 852-3325 to get in on the Metro cruise.
As most of you know, the Lundy's were sailing to Hawaii and Tahiti when Bill suffered some medical problems.  He was taken off the boat in Hawaii and is now resting comfortably at Royal Oak Beaumont. We wish him a speedy recovery.
